Renting a Home Managed by Roam
What to expect when you apply, move in and live in a property we manage in Citrus County and the Nature Coast.
How do I rent a home from Roam Management?
Roam is a property management company renting homes across Citrus County. Pick an available home from our properties page, call Shields at (352) 586-6724 or Darin at (352) 586-0138 to schedule a showing, then submit an application. We review credit, rental history, criminal history and debt history. Approved applicants sign a Florida lease, usually for twelve months, and get keys once the deposit and first month are paid.
1. Find an available home
Our vacant long term rentals are listed on the properties page with the bed and bath count and the city. Call the office if you want to be told when something opens in a specific area.
2. Tour the property
Showings are run by a person from our office, not a lockbox code. You will be able to ask real questions about the roof, the well, the septic and the neighborhood before you sign anything.
3. Submit an application
Applications are reviewed on credit, rental history, criminal history and debt history. Bring proof of income and be straightforward about anything in your history. Honest applications with an explanation do better than surprises found later.
4. Sign the lease and move in
Once approved, we create a Florida compliant lease, collect the deposit and first month, and set up your rent payment method. Long term leases are typically twelve months.
Maintenance requests
Report anything broken as soon as you notice it. Small leaks turn into floors, and a slow air handler turns into a July emergency. Call Shields at (352) 586-6724 or Darin at (352) 586-0138 during office hours, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm, or use the maintenance request form and include the property address and a description of the problem. We route work to contractors we already have relationships with, so you are not waiting on a stranger.
